Description:
Designs,
develops and implements applications for computer systems. Direct the design of
new applications from conception to completion and oversee the technical staff
involved with the development project.
Lead
engineering role on a software development team focused on digital solutions
for Volkswagen and Audi at Region Americas. The role will support a small team
of highly skilled experts to support and build a highest level of automation
regarding the Internet presence of Volkswagen and Audi or other digital
solutions. Supports rapid deployment and very short update cycles. Also ensures
automation in all operational aspects to ensure High Availability of the
Solution (DEV OPS).
Mandatory
Skills:
Strong OO
design and coding skills especially in Java/J2EE with experience in
distributed, multi-tiered systems.
Expertise
in rest-ful services, web based applications and enterprise integration
services
Strong
knowledge of spring frameworks (Spring-cloud, spring-boot etc)
Deep
understanding of microservices architecture (12-factor principles)
Experience
working with Service interaction api/tool (Swagger etc)
Testing
framework -Junit/Mockito/Powermockito
Experience
in at least one of Nosql Databases (MongoDB, Riak etc)
Knowledge
of Build tools (Maven, Gradle)
Experience
in Cloud environments (At least one cloud, understanding of compute, storage
and Network/CD Services e.g. Amazon EC2, S3, Route 53, CloudFlare)
Experience
working with CI/CD tools (JIRA ,Github, Jenkins, Sonar, Nexus etc)
Logging and
Monitoring tools (New-relic, ELK stack etc)
Experience
with TDD and Agile Methodologies.
Strong
knowledge of best practices for the full software development life cycle –
participate in defining coding standards, code reviews.
Always a
learner- should be able to grasp upcoming technologies as the team evolves.
