Team Coach Consultant
Location : West
Lake, TX
Duration : Long
Term.
W2 Contract.
The Agile Team Coach has experience, passion and knowledge around
building and developing high-performance teams that deliver
operations or technology solutions, through effective application of the
Lean/Agile principles and frameworks including Scrum, Kanban Method and Scaled
Agile Framework (SAFe) . As a Lean-Agile transformation expert, you’ll be
sharing your knowledge and experience on how to improve and support the team
and enable the Scrum Master, Product Owner and other roles to effectively perform
their roles . You will coach teams through Agile routines, events and
ceremonies including Iteration Planning, Daily Standup, Backlog Refinement,
Iteration Demo, Retrospective, and PI Planning - transitioning responsibility
to the team over time This may include management level consulting and
training, program level engagement and training, coaching and mentoring team
level coaches, release train engineers.
As an expert from the Agile industry and with the technology experience,
you’ll advise, coach, guide and inspire through lean agile practices and
principals. You’ll be responsible for working with Product Owners, Scrum
Masters, RTE’s, and giving them the information, advice, knowledge, tools,
techniques and networks to create lasting change and sustainable
transformation.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Help
establish and support consistent reporting practices across the
teams
- Assess
teams, create outcome based plan to enable successful transition of team
to self-sustainability
- Successfully
partners with/influences leadership (through Director level)
- Coach
PO/team on story quality, vertical story slicing, TDD.
- Coach
team to examine/adjust/improve ceremonies/process to appropriately to fit
their changing needs.
- Coach
team on creating, measuring and adjusting improvement plans.
- Connect
with appropriate resources to accelerate achievement of target technology
state (automation, cloud, etc.)
- Dependency
Management and Systems Thinking
- Able
the team to continuously improve through intentional Lean and data driven
inspect and adapt cycles
- Coaching
teams within the organizations in various Agile maturity states – beyond
transition from waterfall
- Help
support agile tool adoption and consistent utilization - ensure the team
is tracking and communicating team progress and metrics (i.e. burn down /
velocity) - using these tools to inform coaching and continuous
improvement
- Help
resolve team conflict inherent in transformation
- Coach
the team to achieve Iteration Goal and adhere to Iteration timelines
- Help
establish and support consistent reporting practices across the
teams
- Facilitate
and foster an environment of collaboration, innovation and
creativity
Preferred Qualifications:
- At
least 3 years’ experience in relevant Agile role in software and technical
Delivery
- At
least 3 year experience in Agile methodologies (Scrum, XP, Kanban, etc.)
- 3+
years of experience working on large scale, multiple team projects
- 3
years’ of experience as Scrum Master/RTE/Agile Lead
- ICAgile
Certified Professional in Agile Coaching (ICP-ACC) or Scrum Alliance CSM
or CSP certification or PMI’s Agile Certified Professional (ACP)
- PMP,
Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification or SAFe certified
5+ years working
with Agile, previous Scrum Master expertise and 3+ years of Agile Coaching,
experience working through an Agile transformation/adoption, Scaled Agile
framework implementation experience (SAFe), Kanban/Scrum/Lean principles,
coaching Product Owner/Teams, expertise in large scale/multiple team
environments, must have be CSM certified along with ICP-ACC/CSP or ACP
certified and SAFe/PMP or Six Sigma certification
